Small Town Big Deal
Explore unique small towns of America with hosts Jann & Rodney as they participate in local events!
One of the most elite soldiers in the world is the U.S. Army Ranger. One time a year they open up their doors at their mountain training camp and let the world get a glimpse of what they can do. Then, we have the opportunity to see where the men come to be known as the Band of Brothers trained. Meet a man who was a paratrooper and jumped out of the first plane on D-Day and see how many are honoring these brave men so that we never forget their bravery and sacrifice. Great show! Always know that Rodney and Jan will salute our veterans. Rodney actually made me cry when he succeeded in repelling down the cliff side. Way to go, rodney!
Please share where I can find your show in Colorado Spring!!! I miss it!
Keeping history alive is what the people at the โRoot River Festivalโ do best! Rodney makes cedar shingles by hand, Jann attempts to spin woolโฆrepeat attempts! They both help raise a huge barn with only muscle and rope, discover the art of hay bale tossing, and taste a sweet Norwegian snack. Jann tries tractor pulling for the first time! Throw in a runaway chicken and itโs fun for the whole family! ... See MoreSee Less

Waving ๐ a hand to Jann, and Rodney. Bronners is an amazing place! “Little Bavaria” is a Michigan treasure. Oh goodness I sound like a commercial ๐ค๐. But, living in Michigan, it’s a tradition for a lot of families to include a trip to Bronners at Christmas time.
Absolutely love this town. Gone for several years during the summer. Very lucky to have a picture of my daughter with Wally. Saw him a couple of time s, he was so kind ๐ . Our daughter also did an internship at the golf course. Such great people in this town
Loved Bronner's and Zehnder's. Great show!
For the rich and famous that live along the shores of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin they have a unique way of receiving their mail every summer-- by boat. Jann and Rodney try a little 'Mail Boat Jumping' and one of them takes an unexpected plunge! Then it's off to the Lumberjack World Championships. You won't believe the axe wielding, log running, and pole-climbing going on here! ... See MoreSee Less

Just off the coast of Los Angeles is Catalina Island where stars like Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne once played. It's still a destination spot for people who come to see the islandโs flying fish and the buffalo -- we're not kidding! Jann and Rodney explore the unbelievable โCasinoโ built by gum tycoon William Wrigley, zip line high above canyons and catch a glimpse of those fish that โflyโ! ... See MoreSee Less
